Some Newcastle United fans on social media have been reacting after it was reported that the club are in advanced talks to sign Hugo Ekitike.
What’s the story with Ekitike?
The Magpies have been strongly linked with the teenage striker over the past 24 hours.
Sky Sports claimed on Monday morning that there was an interest from the Magpies, and that report was followed up by a report from 90Min that claimed that the Tyneside club are in advanced talks to bring him in.
Ekitike won’t come cheaply. It is believed that Eddie Howe’s side may have to cough up as much as £30m to bring him to St James’ Park.

Ekitike has such a high price tag for a reason, he looks like one of the most talented teenage strikers in Europe right now.
He has eight league goals in 17 Ligue 1 appearances this term, and at the age of just 19 the sky is the limit for this young man.
Newcastle are desperate for a new centre-forward right now after Callum Wilson went down with an injury, and after Fabrizio Romano claimed that the Magpies want a young striker last week, it has to be said that Ekitike fits the bill.
It would also appear that Newcastle want a physically commanding striker – given their links to the likes of Patrik Schick and Chris Wood, and Ekitike would also tick that box, standing at 6 ft 3.
