Fabrizio Romano claims that Destiny Udogie will prove himself an absolute ‘bargain’ at Tottenham Hotspur.

Udogie was one of seven players who joined Tottenham during the summer transfer window.

However, Spurs loaned him straight back to Udinese for the 2022-23 campaign.

The Lilywhites’ technical director Fabio Paratici spent around £21 million on the young Italian left-back [ESPN].

And Romano is convinced that the money paid to buy Udogie will ultimately prove a snip from the North Londoners.

He told his YouTube channel: “Remember the name – Destiny Udogie. Tottenham decided to invest on him, €19 million plus add-ons and I’m sure this money will look like a bargain in a few years.”

The 19-year-old has scored two goals in 11 Serie A outings this season which, as a left-back, is obviously quite a decent return.

It’s an excellent decision to loan him out this season because honestly, Udogie wouldn’t be playing much under Antonio Conte just yet.

Between Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic, the Italian manager has enough left-sided wing backs at the moment.

And this current campaign gives Udogie another 10 months experience of senior football which should, in theory, prepare him a lot better for the Premier League next term and beyond.
