Liam Cooper has stated ‘remember the name’, Joe Gelhardt, as he posted on the Leeds United player’s Instagram.

On Sunday, Leeds recorded a dramatic 2-1 win over Norwich City, with Gelhardt scoring the winning goal.

The 19-year-old posted on his Instagram ‘wow what a feeling’, with several of his teammates praising him in the comments section.

Pascal Struijk labelled him a ‘big-time player’, whilst Charlie Cresswell said he was a ‘big bull’ and his captain simply added ‘remember the name’.

It was a moment to savour for the teenager and one that could change the tide for his previously struggling Leeds side.

With Patrick Bamford out injured for most of the season, Gelhardt will feel that he should have started more games, especially during this past few weeks.

Whilst he hasn’t been handed that chance, one thing is for sure, he has been impressive every time he is on the pitch.

Bamford is now back in action, and easing his way to fitness, but surely Gelhardt now starts the next game?

It’s a Friday night showdown for Leeds against Wolves and Jesse Marsch will want his side to build on their recent win.

The American has faced two Midlands side from his opening three matches and suffered two defeats.

He will be hoping for a change of luck at Molineux, with Wolves pushing for a top-four finish.
