Some West Ham players have been heard referencing something that David Moyes said in December 2019 after a training ground video emerged on Twitter.

Over a year ago now, the former Manchester United boss faced the media after being appointed as Manuel Pellegrini’s replacement.

It was his second stint in the London Stadium dugout, and he arrived feeling pretty confident, it seemed.

The BBC quoted Moyes as saying: “They are getting a very experienced Premier League manager. I think there’s only two or three managers with a better Premier League win record. That’s what I do, I win.”

Now, the aforementioned training ground footage from Rush Green shows the players referencing those exact comments.

We’re unsure who, but one Hammer can be heard shouting: “All I do is win, win, win, no matter what.”

Then, a voice can be heard saying: “That’s the gaffer’s lyrics, init, remember that?”

It’s good to hear the squad in good spirits at Rush Green, and it’s clear they’ve become so accustomed to winning that they’ll even sing about it in training!

It’s also quite funny to hear Moyes’ comments live on, even though they were uttered a long time ago now.

Perhaps it’s the Scot’s belief in his own ability to get results that has the Irons where they are now.

The east Londoners currently sit fourth in the Premier League, after what has been a remarkable season so far for the Hammers.

They have won 13 of their 25 Premier League games, and are just four points off Manchester United, who sit second.

Moyes is working wonders, and long may it continue.
