Wolverhampton Wanderers have really impressed in the Premier League this season.

Former professional footballer Matt le Tissier looks on during day fifteen of the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace on December 30, 2013 in London, England.

Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier named Wolves as his team fo the year, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports, suggesting that what they have done over this past year has been ‘remarkable’.

The Black Country outfit were superb in the Championship last season, and ran out as comfortable winners.

What has perhaps been more impressive, however, is the manner in which they have settled into life in the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men currently occupy seventh spot in the table, and if they manage to maintain that position come the end of the season, it really would be a massive achievement for the football club.

Le Tissier believes that what Wolves have done already deserves massive recognition in itself, however.

The Sky Sports pundit responded when asked to pick his most impressive team of 2018:

Matt Le Tissier answers questions during Gillette Soccer Saturday Live with Jeff Stelling on March 19, 2012 at the Bournemouth International Centre in Bournemouth, England.

“I think with what they have done having come up from the Championship, and then gone on to cement a place in the top half, Wolves have to be in with a shout for team of 2018. Obviously Man City have been unbelievable, but in their own way, what Wolves have done is remarkable.”

Wolves have spent some serious cash over the past 12 months, but Nuno has still managed to find a way to make it all work.

Next up for the Black Country outfit is a home game against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, and a win against the Eagles would be a fantastic way for Nuno’s men to round off the festive period.
