Aston Villa should not hesitate to sign the former West Bromwich Albion midfielder.

Aston Villa have begun their 2018/19 campaign in fine fashion, winning both Championship games and progressing through to the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Everything is all of a sudden looking bright at Villa Park, with new owners now at the helm, and a renewed sense of optimism emanating from the club.
Steve Bruce will still be looking to bolster his ranks at Villa, however.
The loan window is open until August 31st, whilst clubs can sign free agents whenever they choose.
With this in mind, Aston Villa should consider a move for former West Brom midfielder Claudio Yacob.
The 31-year-old left the Baggies this summer, after spending six years at the Hawthorns, and the Villans should not hesitate to snap him up on a free.

Yacob is a tenacious, ball-winning midfielder, and he possesses all of the attributes that Villa currently lack in the middle of the park.
He would be the ideal accompaniment to Jack Grealish and John McGinn, and would provide stiff competition for Mile Jedinak in the deep-lying midfield role.
The Argentine’s availability on a free transfer makes a move for him a no-brainer for Villa, and if Bruce does manage to bring him to Villa Park, it could turn out to be a real coup for the west Midlands outfit.
