Brendan Rodgers should give Adam Phillips a chance at Celtic.
Adam Phillips – Liverpool
Liverpool announced last week they are releasing seven players at the end of this month, including talented midfield prospect Adam Phillips.
News of Phillips’ release may be of interest to his former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, who thought highly of him during his time at Anfield.
Phillips impressed in pre-season games under Rodgers, and was even named on the bench for a Europa League tie against Bordeaux.

The Liverpool Echo even reported that at the time Phillips was seen as a ‘natural heir’ to Steven Gerrard, and impressed Rodgers, who told The Mail: “Young Adam Phillips has been excellent. He’s 16 years of age but a proper young man.”
Injury problems have since hurt Phillips’ development, and a change in manager clearly has not helped either.

And that’s why a reunion with Brendan Rodgers at Celtic could be exactly what Phillips needs to get his career back on track.
At Celtic Rodgers has shown a willingness to go back in for former players, with Kolo Toure and Scott Sinclair two examples.
Phillips would be a low risk gamble, available on a free transfer, with bags of potential. Liverpool’s loss could be Celtic’s gain.
