Wolves should consider making a move for Joe Ledley.
Wales’ Joe Ledley and Gareth Bale
Wolves showed last season that they can strike gold with their policy of bringing in talented players from around Europe, as Helder Costa showed.
Unfortunately there were too many duds to make the overall project successful, with Ola John and Joao Teixeira among the flops. The least said about Paul Gladon the better.
If they are to be successful in 2017/18 and mount a promotion challenge then they need to find balance with their recruitment.
A priority should be signing a British central midfielder with experience of what it takes to win in the Championship, who could help the club’s flair players shine.
Joe Ledley is a player who fits the bill, and is available after being released by Crystal Palace, where he struck 20 goals in 106 games.

Ledley is still just 30 and has 72 caps for Wales under his belt already.
He has Championship experience with Cardiff City, and has won titles in Scotland with Celtic. Prior to his release he had spent three-and-a-half seasons with Crystal Palace.
Ledley would be an inspired signing for Wolves and a real leader, if they can pull it off.
The midfielder is likely to be in demand as a free agent, and Wolves’ transfer policy means they may not consider making a move. If they don’t, it could be a mistake especially if he signs with a Championship rival.
