Should Leeds United consider a move for free agent Michael Kightly?

Finding good wingers has been a priority for Leeds United over the past three seasons and they are yet to truly resolve the position.
Stuart Dallas and Hadi Sacko are their current options, with the Northern Irishman a solid option and the latter inconsistent, albeit full of potential.
This is why they need to add more options out wide this summer, especially considering both Dallas and Sacko missed time through injury last season. Jordan Botaka has been released while Alfonso Pedraza and Modou Barrow’s loans have not been renewed.
One option to consider is free agent Michael Kightly, who has just been released by Burnley, and may be worth a look.

Kightly has struggled with injuries and a lack of regular football in recent campaigns, but returned to form with an impressive loan spell at Burton Albion last season.
He played in 12 matches for the Brewers and scored four goals – which included a strike and an assist in a 2-1 win against Leeds in April.
He also netted in big games against Norwich, Brighton and former club Wolves, an illustration he has the temperament to be a valuable contributor for Leeds.

Kightly has played a part in two promotion seasons with Burnley and that experience would be useful for Leeds, especially on a free transfer.
In 161 Championship games in his career Kightly has 32 goals and 40 assists, and he has also racked up 75 Premier League appearances too for good measure.
Still just 31, his performances for Burton showed he has much more to offer.
