Tottenham Hotspur and Celtic reportedly wanted Rekeem Harper of West Bromwich Albion.

Rekeem Harper has signed a new contract with West Bromwich Albion, and the will come as a blow to Tottenham Hotspur and Celtic.

As announced on West Brom’s official website, Harper has put pen to paper on a new contract at the Championship club.

The 19-year-old midfielder has signed a new three-year contract, and will stay at The Hawthorns until the summer of 2022.

While West Brom fans will be overjoyed with the news that the talented and promising teenager will stay at the Baggies, this development will come as a bitter blow to Premier League club Tottenham and Scottish Premiership outfit Celtic.

London Football News recently reported that Tottenham have held talks with West Brom over the transfer of Harper, while The Daily Record claimed that the youngster’s move to Celtic was likely to go through.

However, Harper is only 19 years age and is unlikely to stay at West Brom forever, and both Tottenham and Celtic should continue to monitor the progress of the midfielder.
