Everton have reportedly missed out on signing Luke Shaw from Manchester United.

According to The Times, Luke Shaw has rejected Everton and that looks like a massive mistake.
Shaw was on Everton’s wishlist this summer, but has opted to stay with Manchester United.
The 23-year-old wants to fight for his United career, but he may just have made a terrible decision for the sake of his career.
Jose Mourinho has never backed Shaw during his time at Old Trafford, and the former England international may live to regret not taking the opportunity to move to Goodison Park.
The temptation to stay with United is understandable, if Shaw can fight his way in he will be challenging for titles and playing in the Champions League.
However, a switch to Everton could have been perfect for Shaw, as he looks to get his career back on track.
The left-back has gone from being one of the most promising youngsters to almost the forgotten man during his time with the Red Devils, since his £30 million move in the Telegraph.

At Everton, on the other hand, he would have been a permanent starter and could have slotted in perfectly with Marco Silva’s system.
Shaw has the pace and desire to get forward which Silva demands, and not picking to move to Everton could turn out to be the biggest mistake of Shaw’s career, if he doesn’t start playing regularly.
