Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson could leave the Gunners at the end of the season amid interest from Aston Villa and West Ham United among other clubs, according to a report.

Reiss Nelson could reportedly leave Arsenal

The Daily Mail have reported that Arsenal have offered Nelson a new contract and want him to stay at the Emirates Stadium beyond the end of the season.

The £35,000-a-week winger is out of contract at the Gunners in the summer of 2023.

Aston Villa, Fulham, West Ham United, Brighton and Hove Albion and AC Milan all are reportedly keen on securing the services of the 23-year-old English winger on a free transfer.

The Daily Mail have added that although Nelson’s preference is to stay at Arsenal, there is no agreement between him and the Gunners, and the winger could really leave at the end of the season.

HITC Verdict: Winger should leave the Gunners

In our view, Reiss Nelson should leave Arsenal at the end of the season.

Yes, the Gunners are a club on the way up, but the winger is a squad player in manager Mikel Arteta’s plans.

And that is not going to change anytime soon for Nelson, described as “a special talent” whose “technique is amazing”, according to Everton winger Alex Iwobi in Goal in 2017.

If Nelson wants to have a successful career, then he needs to find a club where he will play regularly.

Nelson has made only five substitute appearances in the Premier League, four starts in the UEFA Europa League, and has played once in the Carabao Cup for Arsenal so far this season.
