Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon told Thibaut Courtois ‘you are very good’ on Instagram after he helped Real Madrid to a 3-1 win over Barcelona on Saturday.

Whilst Reguilon is enjoying his new life at Tottenham, things aren’t exactly rosy in Madrid’s garden and yesterday’s win was much-needed for the under-fire Zinedine Zidane.

A certain ex-Tottenham man played a part in Madrid winning because Luka Modric sealed all three-points with his patience and cheeky finish late on.

Of course, Reguilon isn’t the only one in North London who has tasted the fiery nature of playing in El Clasico because a certain Gareth Bale has thrived in that environment, and Jose Mourinho walked that heated touchline many years ago.

Even though it was for a brief period, Toby Alderweireld tasted what it was like coming up against Real when he donned the colours of Atletico.

Now those at Spurs are aiming to come up against teams like Real next season because their goal is to secure Champions League football.

Either way, it seems as though Reguilon enjoyed his former club doing the business against Barca and he will be hoping to continue his bright start when Spurs take on Burnley on Monday night.
