Spurs beat Wolfsberger 4-1 to put one foot in the last 16 of the Europa League.
And a moment of magic from the Tottenham attacker gave the North Londoners a 2-0 lead.
Bale, on a season-long loan from Real Madrid, deceived a defender with a trademark chop before curling past the keeper with his left foot.
It was an example of the type of athleticism that got the 31-year-old an £86 million move to the Spanish giants back in 2013.

Sergio Reguilon was among the players who didn’t travel to Hungary for the game due to injury.
But the Spaniard, who also joined the Lilywhites from Real this past summer, was certainly watching on.
Reguilon offered a one-word response to the Welshman’s message, writing ‘Vamoooooos’ which translates as ‘Let’s go’ in English.
He has only managed 248 minutes of Premier League football this season but that goal, combined with a bright cameo against Manchester City last weekend, might put him in contention for only his third start in the league when Jose Mourinho’s side visit West Ham on Sunday.
