Sergio Reguilon has posted on Twitter ‘Here We Go’ after Tottenham secured the signing of Bryan Gil on Monday.
Tottenham confirmed on Twitter that Gil has joined from Sevilla, with Erik Lamela heading in the other direction.
And it seems as though Reguilon, who won the Europa League at Sevilla before joining Spurs, played a part in this transfer.
Journalist, Fabrizio Romano, responded to Reguilon’s tweet and claimed it has been ‘approved’ by the left-back.
As Tottenham themselves thanked ‘agent’ Reguilon for the role he played in the 20-year-old moving to North London.
This is how it all unfolded, including Reguilon’s message to Lamela.
This was the right time for Spurs to move on from Lamela because he simply didn’t bring the consistent levels many thought he would when he first arrived.
A technically gifted midfielder and a scorer of great goals, Lamela was seen as Gareth Bale’s replacement in North London, but he couldn’t match the levels of the Welshman.
And now Spurs fans have one of the most promising wide players from La Liga to look forward to watching on a weekly basis in the Premier League.
A brilliant ball-carrier, with great creativity and skill at his feet, Gil will compliment the likes of Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn already at the club.
