Sections of West Ham United’s fan base appear to be getting frustrated with Reece Oxford, with the youngster’s future still up in the air.

According to the Daily Mail, Oxford’s tweet which read ‘been hearing some funny stuff lately’ related to him being close to penning a new deal at West Ham.

The Hammers have been trying to sort out Oxford’s contract for some time now, with the prospect seemingly determined to ensure that he gets the best possible deal.

Oxford has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City (Daily Mail) recently, as Premier League clubs look to take advantage of his current contractual situation.

Oxford’s deal at West Ham is due to expire at the end of the season, and United are believed to be in with a chance of signing the England youth international.

Oxford is considered to be one of West Ham’s brightest prospects, but supporters are divided over whether he should be offered a new deal.

While some West Ham fans suggest Oxford should be given whatever he is demanding, others feel that he should be showing more loyalty.
