Burke has completed a move to Hull City from West Ham United.
Reece Burke has sent a heartfelt message to West Ham United fans ‘on Twitter after completing a move to Championship side Hull City, which was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon.
The 21-year-old centre-back has signed a three-year deal with the Tigers, with the option of another year at the KCOM Stadium under Nigel Adkins.
Burke spent the 2017-18 season on loan with Bolton Wanderers but has now joined Hull as he looks to help the second-tier club look to gain promotion back to the Premier League at the second attempt. His move was confirmed on Hull’s Twitter.
Burke first joined the Hammers in 2003 at just seven years of age, and leaves after 15 years with the club in which he made only 15 senior appearances for the east Londoners.
He posted two Tweets to show his appreciation to the Hammers faithful following the confirmation of his move, thanking fans and stating a highlight was his late goal against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup in January.
Burke has been allowed to leave West Ham by Manuel Pellegrini, with the Hammers boasting plenty of options at centre-back.
New signing Issa Diop and the breakthrough of Declan Rice join Reece Oxford, Winston Reid and Angelo Ogbonna at the club. The Hammers seem to be in the market for another central defender, too, with a bid being rejected for Jamaal Lascelles.
