Jamie Redknapp feels Tottenham are one player short.
Pundit Jamie Redknapp has told the Daily Mail that he feels Tottenham are one player short – and thinks Vincent Janssen needs time to settle.
Tottenham drew for the third Premier League game in a row on Saturday, as they played out a 1-1 draw at home to Leicester City after Ahmed Musa’s equaliser cancelled out an opener from Vincent Janssen.
With no wins in any competition since the international break, Tottenham are struggling right now, and have scored just twice in their last three Premier League games.

It’s still an unbeaten start to the season for Spurs, but the goals have dried up in recent weeks, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men clearly missing star striker Harry Kane.
Kane has been out for around six weeks now having suffered an ankle injury against Sunderland back in September, and having scored 59 goals in his last two seasons, it’s no great surprise that Tottenham are missing Kane.
After Saturday’s draw, former Spurs midfielder and current pundit Jamie Redknapp has offered his verdict on Tottenham’s fortunes to the Daily Mail.

Redknapp suggested that Tottenham’s squad appears to be one quality player short, and whilst he thinks Pochettino is happy with the start to the season, they don’t have a player who can step up when Kane is out.
Redknapp also commented on summer signing Janssen, who scored his first Premier League goal on Saturday, but all three of his goals in all competitions have come from the penalty spot, meaning he’s still waiting for that first goal from open play.
Redknapp believes that Janssen needs to adapt in the Premier League, and compared his situation to compatriot Dennis Bergkamp, noting that the former Arsenal legend also took some time to get going in English football.
Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen celebrates scoring their first goal
“I’m sure Mauricio Pochettino is more than happy with Tottenham’s unbeaten start to the season but you feel they are one player short,” said Redknapp. “Saturday’s draw with Leicester was their 18th since the start of last season — more than any other team in the Premier League — and Harry Kane would have turned those draws into wins.”
“Vincent Janssen is still finding his feet and doesn’t have the killer instinct that Kane possesses in the penalty area. You get far fewer opportunities in England than in Holland and Janssen needs to improve his sharpness in and around the box. It can take time for strikers from the Dutch league to adapt to the Premier League – even the great Dennis Bergkamp took seven games to get his first Arsenal goal. Janssen needs to be given time,” he added.
