The Tottenham Hotspur man played deeper than usual on Saturday.

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has told talkSPORT he is confident that Harry Kane will be Spurs’ number nine for most of the season.
The 23-year-old striker operated in a number 10 role on Saturday as Tottenham beat Crystal Palace 1-0 to get their Premier League campaign up and running.
Vincent Janssen spearheaded the attack but it was Victor Wanyama whose 83rd-minute header proved enough to give the Lilywhites all three points.

The Dutch striker did well but Spurs fans might not be overly excited about the prospect of seeing that axis on a regular basis, with Kane netting 25 Premier League goals in all competitions last term – and over 50 in all competitions throughout the past couple of seasons.
Many supporters will want the England marksman to resume that role in the long-term, and Redknapp, who spent four years as Tottenham boss, believes that he will.

“I see him playing up front,” he told talkSPORT. “Maybe Pochettino just fancied a change, but I think most of the season we’ll see Harry playing as a number nine.”
It is worth noting that the illness of Dele Alli – Spurs’ regular number 10 last season – might have forced Mauricio Pochettino’s hand a little, and the Argentine may not envision a long-term future for Kane in that position.
