Harry Redknapp stated on Sky Sports News (8:48pm, October 5, 2020) what he has been told about reported Tottenham Hotspur target Joe Rodon.

According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham are interested in signing Rodon from Swansea City in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Spurs have made a bid of £7 million, but the Championship club are looking for as much as £18 million in transfer fees for the 22-year-old Wales international.

Former Tottenham manager Redknapp raved about the 22-year-old Wales international, and he shared what he has been told about the youngster.

Redknapp said on Sky Sports News (8:48pm, October 5, 2020): “They tell me he is a very good player. Good player. They tell me I think that Gareth Bale and Ben Davies have recommended him highly as well. He is in the Wales squad. I think he is a player with good future. Good signing.”

Joe Rodon Stats

Rodon has played four times in the Championship for Swansea so far this season, according to WhoScored.

During the 2019-20 campaign, the Wales international central defender made 20 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for the Swans, providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.

Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?

Rodon is a very talented and promising young central defender who has progressed well for Swansea over the past two or so seasons.

The 22-year-old is ready to take the next step in his career, and a move to Tottenham before the summer transfer window closes this month would make sense.

Tottenham could do with a new centre-back to provide Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez with competition.
