Leeds United take on Birmingham City in Championship action this weekend.

Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn has hinted to the club’s official site that he will be making a tactical change against Birmingham City this weekend.

The Whites picked up a creditable draw with Bolton Wanderers in their last outing, as they put in their finest performance in recent matches.

However, Redfearn is looking for them to be more attacking against the Blues with the onus on them to attack at Elland Road.

“The system worked well last week for the side we were playing,” he said. “But we’ve got to look at the scenario, it’s us at home.

“We’ve got to force the running, we’re the home side. We’ve got one or two options, one or two ways of doing it.”

Leeds have been in poor form of late, but Redfearn’s desire to keep them playing on the front foot is sure to please the club’s supporters who are hoping to see entertaining football.

That said it is a big risk, especially against a Birmingham side who have been transformed under the guidance of Gary Rowett.

The Midlands outfit had looked to be set for a relegation fight, but Rowett’s arrival has pushed them up the league and their rapid rise is something that Leeds will be hoping to emulate in the coming weeks.
