Leeds United moved fifth in the Championship on Saturday.
Neil Redfearn has told TV Yorkshire that Garry Monk has succeeded in making Elland Road something of a fortress yet again.
Leeds beat Brentford 1-0 on Saturday to move fifth in the Championship. The win came just days after Monk’s side beat top-six rivals Reading 2-0 in West Yorkshire.
The Whites have been superb at home as of late, winning seven of their last nine Championship matches at Elland Road – losing one and drawing the other.

In contrast, United managed only seven home victories under Uwe Rosler and later Steve Evans during the entire 2015-16 campaign, suggesting that Monk has masterminded a huge improvement in that regard.
Visiting Elland Road is one of the most ominous away days in the division this season and ex-Leeds boss Redfearn says his former club will give anyone a “proper game” on their own patch.
“Well it is [a fortress]. Nobody will want to come to Elland Road. You can see that. Whoever comes down to Elland Road now seems to be given a proper game,” he told TV Yorkshire.

The fans have undoubtedly played a big role in Leeds’ home form. The atmosphere created can be quite intimidating for the opposition and Monk’s troops really react as a result of this.
The former Swansea boss just had to win over the supporters, get them believing in his troops and, sure enough, the fans fell into line.
