Jamie O’Hara has criticised Tottenham Hotspur central defender Davinson Sanchez on talkSPORT (5:37pm, September 17, 2022) for his involvement in the goal that Leicester City scored in the opening minutes of the Premier League mach at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham conceded the opening goal against Leicester after just six minutes at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs conceded a spot kick after just four minutes.

Leicester’s James Justin ran down the wing and cut in.

Just as Justin was on the line of the box and nowhere near the goal, Sanchez brought him down.

It was a really poor decision from Sanchez to make the challenge.

There was no need whatsoever for the Colombian to do so.

The referee pointed to the penalty spot.

Youri Tielemans had his penalty saved by Hugo Lloris, but the Belgian midfielder took it again after it was adjudged that the Tottenham goalkeeper was off his line.

The Leicester midfielder scored this time.

Former Tottenham player O’Hara was not happy with Sanchez and slammed the £65,000-a-week (Spotrac) Colombia international centre-back on talkSPORT.

O’Hara said about Sanchez: “Davinson Sanchez, why is he playing? He is a recipe for disaster. That’s what he is. He will get the team in the trouble, every single week. I don’t know why we keep picking him.”
