Leeds United have hit a bad run of form at the worst possible time.

Alan Pardew made an appearance on Sky Sports’ Goals on Sunday yesterday, and discussed the Championship play-off race, highlighting how every other club in contention for the top six will be hoping that the Whites miss out on the play-off spots.
Leeds have really struggled of late, and now sit in seventh position in the Championship table, three points adrift of sixth placed Fulham, after winning just one of their last six league outings.
They still have an outside chance of forcing their way into the top six, although two wins form their final two games will be paramount.
And Pardew explained why other clubs in and around the play-off spots will be hoping that Garry Monk’s side miss out this year, when speaking to the panel on Sky Sports’ Goals on Sunday programme:

“He (Monk) had a great run and they’ve just come off it for whatever reason. You know if I were one of the other teams you really wouldn’t want Leeds in the play-offs. I really wouldn’t with the momentum of the fans. It can give you that extra push.”
The West Yorkshire outfit’s final two games are against Norwich City (h) and Wigan Athletic (a), and with Sheffield Wednesday and Fulham playing each other on the last day of the season, it is not totally outside the realms of possibility for Leeds to still make the top six.
They will, of course, need six points from those outings, and in order to do that, they will seriously need to improve their performance levels from the past month or so.
