The former Sheffield United youth team player was said to be awaiting news from Leeds United last week.

The recent Leeds United trialist, Ashton Hall, appeared for the Sheffield United Under-18s at the weekend.
Hall spent two weeks auditioning with Leeds at the start of this month, and was said be awaiting news from Elland Road last week (Matlock Mercury).
However, it was reported that in the meantime Sheffield United had also made an approach for the young Matlock Town defender (Matlock Mercury), who was previously on the Blades’ books (Derbyshire Times).
And lo and behold, Hall was named in the Sheffield United U18s side that drew 0-0 at Nottingham Forest on Saturday – and played the full 90 minutes alongside his former Matlock teammate, Zak Brunt (Blades official website).
Although, what happens next remains to be seen.
