Wife of Liverpool player believes he was MOTM against Leeds

Fabinho’s wife, Rebeca Tavares, has said on Twitter that the Liverpool defensive midfielder was the best player against Leeds United at Elland Road.

Rebeca Tavares has praised her husband Fabinho for his performance in Liverpool’s 3-0 win against 10-man Leeds yesterday, and believes that the Brazil international was the Match of the Match in the Premier League game.

How did Fabinho play?

Fabinho did not start the game particularly strongly and was shown a yellow card, but as the match wore on, he showed his experience and quality.

The 27-year-old was an imposing figure in the middle of the park and was aways at the right place at the right time to stop Leeds’s attacks.

Fabinho also scored a goal.

The former AS Monaco star took three shots, had a pass accuracy of 78.8%, won one header, took 56 touches, attempted one dribble, made one tackle, five interceptions and two clearances, and put in one cross.

Fabinho is at the top of his game at the age of 27 now, and his performance against Leeds showed why he is one of the first names on the Liverpool teamsheet.

For Liverpool to win the Premier League title this season, Fabinho will have to be on top of his game throughout.
