Rebeca Tavares has shared what she thought about her husband’s yellow card in Liverpool’s defeat by Burnley last night.
The Reds suffered a shock loss to Sean Dyche’s side for what was their first defeat at Anfield in the Premier League for close to four years.
Fabinho sparked a melee just before the half-time whistle for a foul on Ashley Barnes, resulting in the Brazilian midfielder – playing in defence – earning himself a booking.
Here’s how his wife reacted to the decision on Twitter:
Dyche and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp also shared some angry words during a heated exchange in the tunnel after Fabinho’s challenge.
That incident certainly raised tensions ahead of the second half, when the score was at 0-0.
And in the end, it was Barnes, who was fouled by the £43 million Liverpool powerhouse in the first half, who had the final say as his 84th-minute penalty was enough to give the Clarets a 1-0 win.
The Premier League champions are now six points behind leaders Manchester United, having scored once in their last five league outings.
