Antonio Rudiger told Sky Sports that reported Liverpool target Christian Pulisic is ‘really tough’ to face in Chelsea training.

The Daily Mail have claimed that Pulisic could soon swap playing for one German coach for another, with Liverpool sniffing around for his signature.

Regular starts has been hard to come by for the USA international this season, but he impressed in the FA Cup yesterday as Chelsea knocked out Sheffield United.

But Rudiger, who has been reinstated into the side since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival, shared what it’s like coming up against the American speedster in training.

“I mostly play against Callum (Hudson-Odoi) or Pulisic, also Hakim (Ziyech), these players are really tough,” said Rudiger.

“They have movements and they have cuts. It’s not always easy to defend against.”

It wouldn’t be entirely surprising to see Pulisic depart Stamford Bridge in the summer because Chelsea have a traffic jam of players in the final third.

Something has to give somewhere, and if you are an on-looker, such as Liverpool, then surely you will be ready to pounce for any top talent that will be put onto the market.

There is talk of Liverpool’s forward line needing some refreshment, and given the impact, Diogo Jota has had on Merseyside, perhaps pushing that refreshment button once more in the summer is worth doing.
