Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Cedric Soares could leave without playing a single game during his loan spell from Southampton.
Soares joined Arsenal on loan from Premier League rivals Southampton in the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old right-back moved to the Gunners as a cover for Hector Bellerin, but he himself arrived at the Emirates Stadium carrying a knee injury.
According to Goal.com, although Soares does not have the knee problem anymore, the defender has a bad facial injury and did not play in friendly matches against Charlton Athletic and Brentford.
It has been further reported that the Portugal international has yet to agreed on a short-term contract with Arsenal to play until the end of the season.
The right-back, who earns £65,000 per week as salary, is out on contract at Southampton at the end of the month, which is also when his loan deal at Arsenal runs out, according to the report.
Goal.com has claimed that a short-term deal needs to be agreed by June 23, or else Soares will leave Arsenal without playing a single game.
