West Ham United have been incredibly inconsistent so far this season.

Ian Wright looks on prior to the Barclays Premier League match between West Ham United and Manchester City at Boleyn Ground on October 25, 2014 in London, England.

Ian Wright suggested that West Ham have been a really strange side this season, what with their inconsistency, as quoted by the Daily Star.

The Hammers really have been a bag of revels this season, you never know what your’e going to get with them, and they currently sit in 12th spot in the Premier League table, although they could jump level on points with eighth placed Watford with a win against Liverpool tonight.

West Ham have beaten Manchester United and Arsenal at the London Stadium this season, but they have also lost to teams like Wolves, Watford and Bournemouth.

And Wright suggested that the Hammers’ inconsistency this season has been ‘really strange’, highlighting how much they will miss currently injured striker Marko Arnautovic, as quoted by the Daily Star:

BT Sport pundit Ian Wright looks on prior to the Emirates FA Cup Semi-Final match between Arsenal and Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on April 23, 2017 in London, England.

“They’re very inconsistent, really strange. Really strange. [Marko] Arnautovic is injured, so that’s definitely gonna be a weakness for them.”

West Ham have received plenty of criticism in recent weeks, having lost two straight league games, and crashing out of the FA Cup to AFC Wimbledon.

A win over Liverpool would be a a massive boost to their hopes of finishing inside the top seven, but that will, of course, be a lot easier said than done.
