Juventus winger Federico Chiesa is now reportedly ready to make the move to Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.

According to La Repubblica, Newcastle United are interested in signing Federico Chiesa from Juventus in the summer transfer window.

The Italian publication have claimed that Chiesa – who has “lightning speed” according to the Juventus’s official website, is “ready to start” the new season in a Newcastle shirt.

Juventus are ready to sell the Italy international winger – described as “really special” by Juventus and Italy legend Gianluigi Buffon in La Gazzetta dello Sport in July 2021 – for €55-60 million (£47-51 million) and are hoping for an official move from Newcastle to start negotiations, according to the report.

Exciting Federico Chiesa news for Newcastle United fans

In our opinion, that Federico Chiesa is reportedly ready to make the move to Newcastle United is very good news for the St. James’ Park.

It indicates that Newcastle could find it relatively straightforward to get a deal done for the 25-year-old winger.

Juventus have set an asking price for Chiesa.

Newcastle will have to pay it.

Now, of course, the Premier League club will surely negotiate and try to lower that fee.

And Juventus could come to a comprise if Chiesa himself wants to leave for Newcastle, who recently signed his Italy international teammate Sandro Tonali from AC Milan.
