Paul Heckingbottom praised Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette for his “quick” movement during Arsenal’s 3-0 win at Bramall Lane on Sunday, in his post-match interview.

For an Arsenal team that has had a drama-filled campaign, Sunday’s away trip was a lot easier and less stressful than usual.

Lacazette, who is Arsenal’s top marksman this season, netted a brace against the Blades, with youngster Gabriel Martinelli also joining the party.

After the game, Sheffield United’s caretaker boss shared his thoughts on his side’s performance and Arsenal’s attacking threat.

“The third goal, from our point of view, it was positive intent in us pressing high,” said Heckingbottom.

“It was a great turn in the middle of the pitch and really sharp thinking from Lacazette, whose movement is quick.

“But we’re playing in a league where we’ve to be able to deal with (these situations). This team last season and in previous seasons has been able to deal with it.”

Lacazette has taken over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the goalscoring stakes and Arsenal are now relying on the Frenchman to deliver the goods in front of goal.

However, it’s all well and good doing the business against a team heading back to the Championship with only three wins to their names this season.

It’s Thursday’s game in the Czech Republic that’s most important. If Arsenal don’t pass that test, serious questions will be asked of the manager and his players.
