Gary Rowett has given his verdict on Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Dragusin.
The former Millwall manager and Sky Sports pundit has explained why Dragusin is suited to the way that Tottenham player under head coach Ange Postecoglou.
So, what has Gary Rowett said about Radu Dragusin? Let’s take a look.
Radu Dragusin backed to be a success at Tottenham Hotspur
Well, Gary Rowett has been speaking about the signings that Tottenham Hotspur made in the January transfer window.
The former Millwall manager believes that Timo Werner is a good signing for Spurs. The North London club secured the services of the former Chelsea forward on a loan deal from RB Leipzig and have the option to make it permanent at the end of the season.

Tottenham also signed Radu Dragusin in January. The 21-year-old defender moved to Spurs from Italian club Genoa.
Rowett said about Dragusin on Sky Sports News (8:52 pm, February 1, 2024): “I think they have made some really sensible additions. You look at Timo Werner, you look at Dragusin, I think he is an excellent player that really really suits Tottenham’s high line defensively, he has got pace.”
My View: Let’s be patient with Radu Dragusin
In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur fans have to be patient with Radu Dragusin. I do not think that Spurs supporters should expect great things of the Romania international just yet.
First of all, Dragusin may not get into the Tottenham starting lineup anytime soon. Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are the two main centre-backs for Spurs at the moment.
Dragusin will have to be patient and wait for his turn. And, once he gets it, he has to make the most of it.
Secondly, Dragusin is just 21 now. He is still a very young player and is developing.
We cannot expect the Romania international to turn on the style straight away. He needs to be afforded patience.
