Jobi McAnuff has singled Djed Spence for praise by stating that he was ‘really, really good’ for Tottenham Hotspur despite their 2-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, as he told Soccer Special on Sky Sports (09/11/22 at 9:30 pm).
Tottenham fans are probably sick and tired of seeing this, but once again, they went behind during a game.
Whether it’s the Premier League, the Champions League or domestic competitions, it’s the same problems showcasing themselves.

There are only a certain amount of times you can count your lucky chickens, and Antonio Conte is finding out that his time is running out in that regard.
Waking up on Thursday morning, there won’t be much for him to cheer about regarding his side’s performance at the City Ground, well, other than Spence’s display.
“He has been really, really good actually since he come on,” said McAnuff. “I think maybe he has given Antonio Conte something to think about.
“He is one of the only real positives from a really poor night from Spurs. But again, they can’t keep giving themselves a mountain to climb every time they go out. They are conceding, not just the first one, it becomes so hard to win the game because they are then chasing it.”

SPENCE TO START?
Tottenham fans have been crying out for their summer signing to be handed a start instead, he has warmed the bench, time and time again.
Well, yesterday, he proved that he should be starting ahead of Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty, who just simply aren’t performing.
Conte has to change his mind about ‘Spence not being ready’ because he clearly is, if anyone isn’t, then it’s Emerson and Doherty.
