Roy Keane has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:48pm, May 22, 2022) that Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte changed star striker Harry Kane over the course of the season.

The Manchester United legend made the comments after Tottenham finished in the top four of the Premier League table this season.

Spurs won on Sunday to beat bitter North London rivals Arsenal to the fourth and final Champions League spot in the Premier League table.

Sky Sports pundit Keane has pointed out it was Conte who got Kane firing again after the England international striker was struggling in the opening weeks of the season under then Tottenham head coach Nuno.

Roy Keane on Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Antonio Conte

Keane said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:48pm, May 22, 2022): “He (Conte) got top strikers on form, Kane and Son, particularly Kane. I think Kane earlier in the season was really poor, but he got up to speed.”

In form

In our opinion, Harry Kane played well for Tottenham Hotspur after Antonio Conte was appointed the club’s head coach.

The striker did not look himself in the opening weeks of the season.

Kane lacked sharpness, but over the past few months, the England international striker has been brilliant and has been back in form.

The 28-year-old ended the Premier League season with 17 goals and nine assists.

That is, in our opinion, pretty impressive.
