Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Micah Richards has been full of praise for Aston Villa after their win against Manchester United.
In particular, Richards stated that he was impressed by John McGinn, claiming that he has got absolutely everything.
McGinn has been excellent for Villa so far this season, and Richards has spoken about how impressed he’s been by the Scot.
What’s been said?
Richards was buzzing to see his former club doing so well.
“Yeah, Villa were brilliant. Matty Cash down that right, they’ve changed to a new system with three at the back, Targett as well on the other side. John McGinn he’s really, really impressed me. He was a bit in the shadow of Jack Grealish and he’s not as technically great, but he gives so much to that team, energy, he runs in behind, he tackles and he’s got everything, he really has,” Richards said.

New talisman
When Jack Grealish left Aston Villa we were all wondering who their new talisman would be.
The Midlands club signed the likes of Emi Buendia and Leon Bailey, but it’s McGinn who has really stepped up in the absence of the England star.
As Richards says, this is a player who can do absolutely anything. He’s got unbelievable technical ability, he’s a hard worker and he’s brave.
McGinn has been one of the best midfielders in the league this term, and if he keeps up this level of form, Dean Smith’s side may be challenging for a European spot this term.
