‘Really impressed’: Heung-Min Son wowed by Tottenham player’s first training session

Heung-Min Son has shared that he was ‘really impressed’ by Juventus loanee, Dejan Kulusevski’s, first training session at Tottenham Hotspur, as he told Stadium Astro.

The Spurs winger added that Kulusevski has ‘something’ to his game and he has really adapted well following his January move from Juventus.

The 22-year-old has started like a house on first by scoring three goals and supplying six assists from his first 13 matches in the Premier League.

Whilst Antonio Conte’s side have faltered of late, in recent months, they have still provided themselves with a serious chance of securing a Premier League top-four finish.

Nonetheless, Son was asked how his new Sweden teammate has adapted to life in England, the Premier League and what he thought about him when he first trained with his new teammates.

“He has something,” said Son. “With that young age, it’s not easy to be a Juventus player.

“When he trained the first time, it’s obviously not the best feeling because when new players come, you look at it by zooming in. What he’s good at and what he’s not good at. I was really impressed because it was a really good session from him in training.

“In the game, I know how tough the Premier League is and I suffer so much. I feel like I am still suffering because it’s the toughest league in the world.

“But Kulu had adapted really well after three months. Don’t forget, he has only been in the Premier League for three months. He’s really enjoying it and playing with freedom.”

Tottenham’s front three of Son, Harry Kane and Kulusevski is now looking pretty tasty going forward for the north London club.

Previously, it was Kane and Son that Spurs would rely on for attacking threats, goals and assists.

But Kulusevski has now come to that party and is starting to become a permanent fixture alongside the record-breaking duo.

Someone like Lucas Moura is a genius with the ball, perhaps better than Kulusevski, but he lacks that end product that his new teammate has brought to the table.
