Speaking on the Sky Sports Football Podcast, Graeme Souness has been speaking about Liverpool starlet Harvey Elliott.
The former Fulham man has been given plenty of chances for the Reds this season, playing in a midfield role for Jurgen Klopp’s side, and Souness has been impressed by what he’s seen from the 18-year-old.
Souness says that Elliott has what it takes to be a star in the future as long as he works hard and avoids injury.
What’s been said?
Souness gave his verdict on Elliott.
“Like most people I didn’t really know about him, and when I’ve seen him play I’ve been really impressed by him. He has a football nous that you normally get in your mid-20s, and he’s destined to be a star with a couple of caveats. If he is prepared to turn up every day and learn and if he avoids injury. He looks to have absolutely everything,” Souness said.

Elliott could be a star for Liverpool for years to come.
The youngster has been destined for big things from day one. He’s the youngest player to ever appear in the Premier League, and the fact Liverpool snapped him up when he was just 16 tells you all you need to know.
He’s a real talent, and to make things even better, he’s a Liverpool supporter, meaning that he isn’t likely to leave the Reds anytime soon.
Souness is a big fan of Elliott, and it may not be long until the entire continent is waxing-lyrical about this young man.
