Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Leeds Live revealed that Pablo Hernández could stay at Elland Road for one more season.
Leeds Live wrote that Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta are more than happy to see the 36-year-old stay for the final year of his contract.
It is also said that Bielsa and Orta have made this decision due to his influence behind the scenes.
That comes as no surprise to us whatsoever.
Hernández has so much experience, and can still be a hugely valuable figure to the younger players at Elland Road.
Having said that, his technical ability is so strong that he can certainly offer Bielsa something on the pitch too, as well as away from it.
Hernández is a 4-cap Spain international, and also an icon at Leeds having made 174 appearances for the Whites.
In those outings, the ex-Swansea man has scored 36 goals and recorded 41 assists.
Additionally, nobody associated with Leeds wants to see him leave out the back door to little fuss.
After all he’s done for the club, Hernández deserves to leave Leeds with a packed Elland Road singing his name.
For that reason alone, it would be worth waiting one more season.
