Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wrote his captain’s note on Arsenal’s Official Matchday Programme ahead of tonight’s Europa League clash against Molde.
The Gunners skipper scored the winner from the penalty spot on Sunday and he is likely to get a rest tonight in the Europa League. Eddie Nketiah is expected to lead the line, and the young Englishman has been really impressive for Arsenal under Arteta.
The Arsenal boss now has a selection headache. Lacazette and Nketiah were his options up front until now. But young Folarin Balogun has put his name into the hat after a decent little cameo against Dundalk last week.
The teenager has entered the final year of his contract and many expect him to be yet another incredible talent to leave Arsenal due to lack of chances. Arteta showed his faith last week, but he isn’t the only one who rates Balogun highly.
Skipper Aubameyang wrote about his young Arsenal teammate in his notes. The former Dortmund man has labelled Balogun as a ‘great talent’ who is humble and works really hard in training.

Aubameyang: Balogun is a really great talent
Aubameyang wrote: “Flo Balogun was one of those who came on in the last game. He is very, very talented, for sure, and he shows every time he plays with us that he is a really great talent. He works hard and is a humble guy as well. I love his style – he’s like an American rapper – he’s cool!”
The 19-year-old has been a real star for Arsenal at youth level. He scored 10 times for the under-23s last season and scored 25 times for the under-19s the year before. He is destined to have a great career, but whether that will be at the Emirates remains to be seen.
Balogun is expected to be in the squad to face Molde tonight, and he is expected to play some part in the game. Arsenal fans want to see him in action and, if he impresses, the Gunners will have to go above and beyond to tie him down to a new deal.
