Speaking on the Premier League’s YouTube channel, Tariq Lamptey has been speaking about West Ham star Declan Rice.
The full-back was building a so-called ‘ultimate teammate’ picking six key footballers in six key attributes to craft the perfect young player.
When it came to physicality, Lamptey found it hard to make his choice, but he eventually settled on Rice.
What’s Lamptey said about Rice?
Lamptey picked Rice as the most physically gifted youngster in the Premier League.
“Let’s go with Declan Rice. He plays well in every game to be honest. Every time I watch him he plays really well, he’s a really good player,” Lamptey said.

Lamptey says that Rice plays well in every single game, and it’s hard to disagree.
Whether it’s a European Championship final or a dead rubber Europa League game, Rice always turns up and plays brilliantly.
The 23-year-old is one of the hottest commodities in the Premier League right now, and it’s because of how consistently brilliant he is.
Yes, other youngsters are more flashy, but there isn’t a player in that age bracket who is more reliable than Rice.
Lamptey seems to be a big fan, and we can only hope that we get to see the pair playing together for England one day.
