Tony Pulis has singled out Thomas Partey for praise following Arsenal’s latest victory.
After Manchester City dropped two points at home to Everton this afternoon, the Gunners capitalised in ruthless fashion.
Arsenal beat Brighton & Hove Albion 4-2 in a pretty comfortable end-of-year victory for Mikel Arteta’s side.
As a result, they are now seven points clear of Manchester City.
Partey, a £45 million signing by Arteta in 2020 [Sky], doesn’t often get the plaudits, but he has been absolutely immense in the North Londoners’ midfield this season.

And the former Stoke City manager has singled him out for praise.
He said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Partey keeps everything together in midfield. He has been a really good player for Arsenal this year.”
This is the first season where Partey has properly established himself as a massive player for Arsenal.
In recent seasons, a lack of fitness and form has meant that despite being talented, he wasn’t always the most reliable player in Arteta’s squad for a number of reasons.
This season, however, he looks absolutely transformed.
And if Arsenal do go all the way, and win their first Premier League title since 2004, then the Ghana international will have earned his medal as much as any of his teammates.
