Tim Sherwood has advised West Ham United to appoint Marco Silva as their next manager.
A report on Wednesday claimed that the Hammers were interested in bringing the Fulham boss on board to replace David Moyes.
As it seems increasingly likely that West Ham United will part ways with the Scot, Tim Sherwood has backed their reported interest in making Marco Silva their next manager.
Tim Sherwood suggests West Ham to appoint Marco Silva as manager
The Portuguese tactician has done an incredible job at Fulham, guiding them to promotion as they currently sit in 10th place in the Premier League table.
Branded as a ‘genius’ tactically by Patjim Kasami via Liverpool Echo, the 45-year-old seems to be justifying the hype that has always surrounded his name at the highest level.
As Marco Silva has now been linked with the West Ham manager job, Tim Sherwood believes he would fit like a glove.

“I think the rumour has appeared because he has a £6 million buyout in his contract. They can’t stop him leaving, if they pay that. Without disrupting Fulham, it’s a bigger club, West Ham. Huge support. I think he’s a very good manager, I really do, and if they want to change David Moyes, he would be a good option for them”, Sherwood said on the No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast.
“Good brand of football, progressive, what the West Ham fans want to see. I think there will be a change there at West Ham, whether they win it or not.”
HITC View: Marco Silva would be a brilliant appointment
It is hard to imagine Marco Silva leaving his post as Fulham manager but if he decides to do so for West Ham, Tim Sherwood is right in claiming that this would be a cracker of an appointment.
Silva has showcased an ability to create a multitude of tactical solutions whilst overachieving with a side and also ensuring that the brand of football is easy on the eye.
Furthermore, the former Everton manager, unlike David Moyes is better suited to working with technical footballers like Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca.
If the move does end up transpiring, the Irons faithful should be buzzing.
