Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website how Darwin Nunez has been preparing ahead of the Merseyside derby against Everton on Saturday afternoon.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will take on Everton away from home in the Premier League today.
Uruguay international striker Darwin Nunez is back in contention for the match after serving his three-match suspension.
The 23-year-old was sent off during the Premier League game against Crystal Palace.
Liverpool boss Klopp has outlined what Nunez has been working on while he was out of action.
Jurgen Klopp on Darwin Nunez for Liverpool v Everton
Klopp told Liverpool’s official website on Friday about Nunez potentially starting against Everton: “He is in really good shape and if you look at how we came through this now with the last two games winning, we don’t see it [his suspension] as a bad thing, the time he was out.
“We used it with him, we tried to give him some extra input physically as well as tactically. He looks really settled now, even more than before, he had a really good last week. What we will make of that, you will have to wait until tomorrow.”

Could Nunez start?
In our opinion, even though Darwin Nunez is available now, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp should keep faith in Roberto Firmino.
The Brazilian forward has done well when he has played this season, and he should be rewarded for his form and allowed to start against Everton.
Nunez has not been playing for a while, so it would make sense for him to be start the Merseyside derby against Everton on the substitutes’ bench.
After all, the striker was sent off now so long ago, and given that the Merseyside derby will be a very fiery affair, there is a chance that he could be shown a red card again.
