Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has said on the club’s YouTube channel that he was impressed with Fraser Forster when he played for Celtic against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League.

Conte has said that he is pleased to have former Newcastle United and Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster in his squad now.

Tottenham completed the signing of the 34-year-old goalkeeper in the summer transfer window.

Forster arrived at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a free transfer following his departure from Southampton at the end of last season.

Good signing for Spurs

In our view, Fraser Forster is a very good signing for Tottenham Hotspur, especially as he will be the second choice between Hugo Lloris.

The 34-year-old has played in the UEFA Champions League and has turned out for some of the biggest clubs around such as Celtic and Newcastle.

Forster would be ready to play in place of Lloris at short notice.

Yes, Forster is 34 now, but he can still play for a few more years and remains at the top of his game.

Tottenham are a better squad with Forster in it.
