David Ornstein has been speaking to Sky Sports about Arsenal, and he shared what “many people around the game” have been saying.
What’s the story?
Well, Ornstein revealed that people within football have told him something that he finds “really exciting” about the Gunners.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “What’s really exciting for Arsenal is, when you speak to many people around the game, they think that they’re one of the best placed teams to really accelerate into the future with those young players.”
We strongly agree.
Some supporters may not find this update “really exciting” like Ornstein does, as most fans nowadays tend to obsess over transfer news.
However, when you actually step back and consider the football side of things, Arsenal are in a very, very good moment under Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners are already performing at an impressive level, with many of their key men yet to actually enter their prime years.
That in itself is enough to make even the most pessimistic Arsenal fan giddy with excitement.
Arsenal could dominate England
For many years, Arsenal have been a laughing stock, although Arteta is creating something at the Emirates Stadium which could soon put them back on top.
The likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli are superstars in the making, but they aren’t alone.
Understandably, the trio grab most of the headlines due to their attacking brilliance, but there is a tremendous, youthful spine at Arsenal.
Aaron Ramsdale may soon oust Jordan Pickford to become England No.1, whereas Ben White, Gabriel Magalhães, Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu could be Arsenal’s backline for the next decade.
That is without mentioning Martin Ødegaard, who is thriving ahead of Thomas Partey in midfield.
There is so much talent at Arsenal right now, and in Arteta, the Gunners have the perfect coach to nurture them all to stardom.
