Danny Murphy thinks a ‘really exciting’ summer transfer window is awaiting Tottenham Hotspur, as he told talkSPORT.
The former Spurs midfielder added that he feels, the much-criticised Daniel Levy, will back Antonio Conte when the transfer window re-opens.
There has been a lot of noise around Spurs of late, especially in relation to their manager and his supposed mood.
Some question whether he will walk away from the job if he doesn’t get what he wants, whilst the Italian shuts that down by making his team do the talking on the pitch.
Either way, a lot of eyes will be on north London in the summer and Murphy thinks it’s one that might just put a smile on Tottenham fans’ faces.
“I actually think it’s going to be a really exciting summer for Spurs,” said Murphy.
“I think Daniel will give him some dough. I think Conte, with the contacts that he has got, will bring in some players at Tottenham.
“But I think that has been the plan all along. The little interviews along the way don’t help.”

It’s pretty clear that Conte isn’t the issue at Spurs and many will feel they are lucky to have the trophy-laden coach in their dugout.
The Italian has previously liked to work with ready-made players, will he get that from Levy?
Even if he doesn’t, supporters will be hoping he is, at the very least, gets backed in the market.
Of course, where Tottenham finish will have a big say in that as they are currently sitting outside of the Champions League places.
