Rotherham fans have taken to Twitter to react after The Chronicle revealed that Newcastle have agreed to sell Dan Barlaser to them.
The Championship side enjoyed the brilliance of Barlaser last season while he was on loan, handing him 35 appearances as Paul Warne’s side achieved promotion from League One.
The 23-year-old’s impact was described as ‘unbelievable’ by Rotherham captain Richard Wood. The Yorkshire Post quote him as saying: ‘He has been unbelievable.
‘Since he came here, he has grown as a person and a player and been excellent.’
Barlaser scored twice last term and set up a further five goals.

The Chronicle state that Steve Bruce has reluctantly agreed to let the midfielder leave, doing so with a heavy heart.
Newcastle felt that another loan for the player soon to turn 24 wouldn’t be beneficial, so his permanent exit has been sanctioned – subject to a medical.
Barlaser has made two appearances for the Magpies this season, both of which came in the Carabao Cup.

However, with Jonjo Shelvey, Isaac Hayden, Sean Longstaff and Matty Longstaff ahead of him in the pecking order, game-time at St James’ Park looked difficult to obtain.
Let’s see how the Rotherham fans on Twitter have reacted to the news…
