Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has suggested that it will be ‘really difficult’ for Bukayo Saka and Kieran Tierney to play against Wolves later this evening, on the club’s official website.
Both Tierney and Saka are nursing injury problems, and while Saka was seen in training yesterday, it seems unlikely that he will start this evening.
Arteta admits that he is waiting until the very last minute before ruling either of the pair out, but the comments from his press conference yesterday don’t make particularly encouraging reading.
“We don’t know yet [if they’ll return]. Today we’ve got a training session and they haven’t been able to train with us yet, so I think it will be really difficult for them,” he said.
“But I don’t know, we’re going to try to last-minute see how they are feeling.”
Arsenal later went on and confirmed on their official website last night that Tierney would be out.

That news comes as a blow to the Gunners, as they now look short of options at left-back.
Cedric was tasked with playing on the left hand side of defence in Arsenal’s game at the weekend, and the Spaniard looks set to keep his place this evening now.
If Arsenal can beat Wolves later they could move up as high as sixth place in the Premier League table, if other results go in their favour.
