Tony Cascarino says it would be a ‘really bad idea’ if Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta decided to leave the Premier League giants to become Paris Saint-Germain’s next manager.
The former Marseille striker has shared how PSG have always been a team of ‘eight players’, with the front three a ‘luxury’, and therefore, a problem for the club as a whole and their quest to win the big trophies, such as the UEFA Champions League.
Arsenal will be back in the Champions League next season and Mikel Arteta has played a huge part in all of that, with Cascarino adding that he simply can’t see the 41-year-old leaving, as he told talkSPORT.

With Arsenal trying to push hard in the transfer market for Declan Rice, it’s fair to say that their man in the dugout is going nowhere because he has a big task on his hands.
After spending so much time at the top of the Premier League table last season and missing out on the title to Manchester City, the Gunners will want to go again, prove their worth and this time get over the line.
In order for that to happen, they are going to need Arteta running the ship from London Colney, as Cascarino shared his thoughts on those PSG rumours.
“You get financially rewarded (by going to PSG),” said Cascarino. “Does it damage you as a manager? Not really.
“Thomas Tuchel, Pochettino and Christophe Galtier. But if you go back to Unai Emery, it wasn’t a nice experience for him, but everyone knew that he was still a very good coach. Them managers, they have all had the same problem.
“They buy the elite players. Mbappe, Messi, George Weah, Ginola, Edinson Cavani, Thiago Silva, Zlatan, Ronaldinho and Beckham. I played against PSG, their forward line was George Weah, a Brazilian called Rai, who was tremendous and David Ginola. They were deemed as a luxury, but all fantastic players. The problem with this team, they keep buying a team that’s made for eight players. They do all the work, and then the three up front are the luxury.
“It would be a really bad idea for Arteta to join PSG. I don’t think he will even contemplate it. I think he will look at that by saying ‘that’s how you don’t go into management’.”

ARTETA ISN’T GOING ANYWHERE
Despite that noise coming out about France and Arteta, it was all debunked by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who told CaughtOffside that the Spanish coach is going nowhere.
Yes, in years to come, Arsenal fans will acknowledge that if their manager wins more trophies at the club, then he might get lured to other jobs across Europe.
But the Arsenal faithful would more than accept that because, in order for that to happen, he needs to deliver titles, with huge pressure on everyone at the club come next season.
